Scleredema Disease and its Diagnoses

A certain skin condition as such with Scleredema disease can only be confirmed after conducting certain diagnosis. Scleredema diagnoses will be based on the skin appearance and other relevant medical records of the patient. Confirmation of such skin condition is accomplished by means of several diagnoses. These are as follow:

1. Skin Biopsy - it is a form of examination wherein eosin and hematoxylin blemishes are being scrutinized. Such skin blemishes will demonstrate a substantial reticular dermis amid the substantial collection of collagen that is segregated by apparent gaps. Skin biopsies can either be in a form of incision of punch procedure. They are often associated with histopathology skin examination.

2. Blood Test- in some cases of Scleredema disease like multiple myeloma, blood test may be conducted to check if the patients current condition. Such test may be performed right after the inception of the common symptoms.

3. Imaging - though, this is still recently proposed, imaging procedures as such with ultrasonic imaging may also be helpful to diagnose Scleredema condition. Such imaging process will be utilized to scrutinize the substantial skin, in order to monitor progress or responses from certain therapy the patient undergoes.

4. SPEP or Serum Protein Electrophoresis - is another type of diagnosis designed to leave out monoclonal gammopathy in Scleredema patients.
