What Possible Side Effects are there from Botox?

Botox is a non-surgical treatment and has no major post treatment side effects. However, there are certain minor side effects which tend to eliminate naturally without the need for any medicine. Botox injections can leave the person with bruises, redness, rashes or sometimes swelling around the area undergone treatment. Patients may experience minor levels of headaches and muscle aches, especially on those muscles on which the drug has been injected. This treatment is likely to make your feel nauseous with slight stomach disorders like gas, bloating, constipation and more. People also commonly experience flu like symptoms like head ache, chills, fever, sore throat and more, for three-four days only. In uncommon cases, the Botox drug can spread to the nearby muscles when rubbed immediately after being injected. This causes the muscles in the vicinity of the intended area to paralyze for a few minutes. This condition can be most evidently diagnosed if the eye lids start becoming droopy. Also, since this treatment is especially used to relieve fine lines and wrinkles, most people feel that it makes them look expressionless as their entire face literally gets paralyzed. Further, since the results of the treatment lasts for 6-8 months only, it forces the people to become addictive to these injections.
